I made three gate fold cards from one A4 piece of Hunky Dory Scorable adorable. I do think using a score board would be much quicker and easier but I managed well enough with a ruler and bone folder tool.

Creating the mirror frame was a bit tricky with needing to cut out the central retangle using my craft knife. I look forward to getting a good quality cutting machine to make all these projects a bit easier and muh faster.

I love the reflective thin frames that give a modern twist to the victorian christmas scenes. These five cards were fun to create and I look forward to making very many more christmas cards over my summer break.

I laid the pieces out matting the image on the metalic card and inking the edges. I knew I wanted something down either side of the card and after a few experiments I decided some 3D gold paint would look lovely and I came up with a subtle detail.

I love the lock type mechanism in these cards having the golden frame attached to one side and the image stuck to the other side. The texture of the 3D paint works great with the rest of the card.

Very sweet cards Fiona πŸ™‚ I like the gate fold – It’s quite rare for me to use anything other than a regular fold on my cards. Maybe I should play around with other styles.
