Three horse cards for animal loving friends

When the equestrian set from Kanban was show on create and craft Tv I immediately had to buy the set and it really didn’t dissapoint. These are three basic layered cards using a variety of the toppers and they were such fun to create.

I kept this card very basic as the topper is so large but inking the edges of both the topper and sentiment help them stand out well on the card.

I love the foiled elements on this topper and chose a square pattern paper to link in with the small shimmery border.

I used some red leaf paper to try help the meadow flowers pop out of the main topper and again I inked all edges with my black ink pad.

Some very basic and quick makes but that is what card kits are so great for aren’t they? πŸ™‚ Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Love this kit, kanban is great, you can do quick and simple or go all out. Very pretty cards

  2. Its a very long time since I bought a kit but I always preferred Kanban as they bought card after card of just toppers. I have hundreds of cards that came with Hunkydory kits and never know what to do with them – too heavy to use as papers and too fancy to waste by just folding for cards.

yes Hunkydory need to be cut into and added onto lighterwieght card. i often used paler colours from their designs but it does take more work than a kanban kit. I love both types πŸ™‚
